At times, you may choose to change your email address. This might be necessary due to a change in marital status, a desire to have something different, or due to an abundance of junk mail from retailers or unsolicited advertisers. To assure a smooth transition, follow this process:
Contact technical support to establish the new address. Provide them with the exact spelling of the desired address and a password that is at least 6 digits and includes letters, numbers or a combination of both.
Ask technical support to assist you in setting up the new address in your email program. Do not delete the old address at this point.
Email those in your address book from the new address to notify them of your change.
Once you feel all the legitimate contacts are aware of your new address, delete the old address from your computer and notify technical support that the old address is no longer needed.
Note: To delete the old address in Outlook Express, complete these simple steps:
Open Outlook Express (You do not need to connect)
Click on TOOLS at the top of the screen.
Click on ACCOUNTS.
Click on the MAIL TAB.
Highlight the old address account by clicking on it once.
Click REMOVE at the right of the screen.
Click YES to confirm you wish to remove the account.
